Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Arabic

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Arabic is designed to develop proficiency in the Arabic language through the study of grammar, composition, translation, prose, poetry and literary traditions. The programme provides a strong foundation in Arabic language skills while introducing students to the history and development of Arabic literature from the Pre-Islamic period to the modern era.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Arabic must fulfill the eligibility requirements prescribed by the college and affiliating university.

Minimum Eligibility

  • ✓ Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • ✓ Students from any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce) are eligible to apply, subject to university norms.
  • ✓ Knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not mandatory, as per the admission policy of the institution and affiliating university.
  • ✓ Admission shall be granted according to the rules and regulations of the affiliating university and Government guidelines.
  • ✓ Reservation and relaxation in eligibility, wherever applicable, shall be provided as per Government and University norms.
